Terms and Conditions
- CONSULTATION – A StyledByLayo woman needs to schedule a consultation date and time to discuss and conclude an outfit. This is required to get to know our clients personality and needs in details. All prospective clients are required to pay a NON-REFUNDABLE FEE of ₦35,000 or $55.
- PRICING – Note that we do not recreate designs we did not make. We only have starting prices and final price can only be determined by the creative director during consultation.
- PRODUCTION TIMELINE : For bespoke tailoring, the order process required a minimum of 3 weeks depending on the type and quantity is outfit you intend to order. However for bridal outfits we recommend you’d start the process at least 12 weeks before your event. Date can be slightly adjusted subject to when your event is. Kindly state if you would need your outfit during consultation. Note that express orders attracts an additional charge depending on the time of need.
- PAYMENT TERMS – An invoice will be sent to you after consultation and you are required to make full or 80% payment deposit. The balance is due at first fitting. Outfits cannot be picked up or delivered unless full payment has been made. We will not be liable to any client fails to make payment when due as production calendar reads from when payment is made.
- REFUND POLICY: AT STYLEDBYLAYO, we do not offer refunds. Once payment is made there is no option for a refund.
- MEASUREMENTS: We will ensure to take your full detailed measurements during your consultation. However if a client is unavailable for a physical consultation, a virtual measurement session will be conducted either via WhatsApp video or FaceTime and you will be directed on what and how to go about the measurements. All you need to do is get a tape rule ready. Alternatively there is an option of home service measurement if the client is within the country and prefers the home service option. This will be at a cost depending on the location.
- FITTINGS : Fittings are strictly by appointment and it is usually conducted at our showroom in Agungi, Lekki. Your fittings date will be communicated during consultation for walk in clients. Your perfect fit on your event day means the world to us so please prepare to come in for fitting when you are not in a hurry. Ideally, we recommend two physical fitting, one before embellishments and one after embellishments. In a situation where the client is not available to come in for any fitting, we will require your approval to get a model of similar measurements to yours so we can send proper fittings video to you, to see the proper body fit of the outfit. Note that this is optional. However, we recommend it. We also have an option of home service which is at a cost depending on client’s location.
- DELIVERY/ PICK UP: We ship worldwide using a well trusted delivery company. Delivery costs are not fixed as they are determined by location and weight of outfit. Once your order is ready for delivery a shipping cost will be generated for you and you would be required to pay in full before shipping can commence.
- STYLE ALTERATIONS: We understand that one of the benefits of having a custom made outfit is the flexibility to be able to make changes to the style. However, any changes made 42hrs after consultation will be at an extra cost.
- PROCESS CHART: Enquiries → Book a consultation → sketch & design conclusion → fabric sourcing → invoice → payments → measurements → outfit production process → fittings / process update → delivery / pick up.
- WARRANTY: We will ensure your outfit fits perfectly and leaves our store in its best condition before delivery. Once the outfit is in the possession of the client we will take no responsibility for any damages e.g. rips/ stains etc. Any alterations, adjustment or amendments to be made after the collection will be done at a fee.
